Please note: You MUST HAVE an Eligibility Number from DBIA to register for the exam at the Prometric site. In order to get an Eligibility Number, you must have: An approved Certification Application on file; completed the four core courses; and completed the eligibility request form.

Examination
The purpose of the exam is to measure candidates’ comprehensive mastery of best practices in integrated design and construction and their knowledge of its proper application. Successful completion of the exam is one of the final requirements of the Design-Build Certification program.

Important Facts
Completion of the coursework is only one part of the eligibility requirements. All eligibility requirements (with the exception of elective hours) as determined by the Design-Build Certification Board must be met before you are approved to sit for the exam. Allow up to 30 days after submission of application for approval notification..
Sitting for the Exam
About the Exam
This certification exam consists of 100 questions and is a multiple choice/grid test. It will cover eight domains. Those domains are:
- Project management
- Contracts and legal
- General attributes
- Project delivery
- Estimating/specifications
- Teaming and team organization
- Procurement
- Ethics/professionalism
Candidates have a maximum of two (2) hours to take the exam.
Results are given immediately upon completion of the exam.
