DBIA had more than 1,500 members, owners, students and industry professionals join us in Dallas, Texas for the 2014 Design-Build Conference & Expo!
The conference kicked off with an riveting presentation by Captain Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger who took attendees along with him as he recounted each minute of his personal journey and “Miracle on the Hudson” landing. The following days included compelling panel discussions on best practices specific to the federal, transportation and water sectors and research findings on efficiency and innovation.
On Tuesday, DBIA’s Awards Dinner honored the projects and people who embody Design-Build Done Right, including Denver Union Station
as Project of the Year and Craig H. Unger
as this year’s Brunelleschi Lifetime Achievement Award winner.
The conference ended just as strong as it began with five concurrent education sessions focused on timely and critical topics in design-build, the Design-Build Student Competition winners were revealed and the Closing General Session featured Generational Expert, Hannah Ubl, talking about all of the generations in the workforce working together like never before.
We hope to see you next year when we head to the Mile High City for the 2015 Design-Build Conference & Expo next November 2-4, 2015 at the Colorado Convention Center.
