DBIA Model Contracts FAQ

DBIA Model Contracts are sold in three formats:

Microsoft Word
PDF (non-editable)        
Hardcopy  (mailed to you via FedEx)

What format are DBIA’s Design-Build Model Contracts available in?

DBIA contracts are available in both Microsoft word and PDF format. Microsoft word version should be purchased if there is a need to modify contracts (please note copyright). PDFs are non-modifiable.

Do you offer sample versions of DBIA Design-Build Model Contracts?

No.  DBIA does not offer reviewable contracts. We suggest that you purchase the PDF version to review then purchase the Microsoft word version to modify

How will I receive the DBIA Design-Build Model Contracts once I purchase them?

Through the Downloadable Manager. You may access the download area in the View Profile Page. Once you purchase a downloadable product you have 24 hours to download from the download manager.

The DBIA Design-Build Model Contracts were last updated between 1998 & 2001. DBIA is in the process of updating and revamping current contracts.

Will I be contacted when the new contracts are updated?

If you have purchased the contracts in the past you will be contacted. Please contact DBIA at 202-454-7501 or by email at BOOKSTORE@dbia.org to have your name added to the contact list to do so if you have not purchased in the past.
