Committees are the lifeblood of membership organizations and much of DBIA's work is accomplished as the result of the hard work and contributions by DBIA's committee members and chairs. Their technical expertise, industry knowledge and leadership abilities have been instrumental in assisting DBIA to achieve its goals.
DBIA's committee structure has been streamlined and enhanced to continue improving the flow of information to and from Committees, and includes four levels of participation.
Standing Committees - play a key role in working with DBIA staff to carry out activities in their related area that are approved by the National Board.
Market Issues Committees - critical to educating staff on current and emerging issues that only those in the industry can see and best understand. These committees have conference planning sub-committees attached to them.
Task Forces - created when needed for distinct and specific projects. Task Forces disband once the assigned task is accomplished.
If you are interested in volunteering with DBIA please go to the committee you're interested in and use the email link there to contact the staff liaison.
Committe meetings may be held at other times, but every year at the Design-Build Conference and Expo there are the Joint Committee Workshops, which allow several to meet at the same time.
