Retired Member

DBIA Retired Members are individuals who have retired from their profession, but want to continue interaction with the design-build industry. The member will continue to receive the same benefits as a full member, but will now have a Retired status. Retired members can continue to serve on DBIA National and Regional committees and maintain their DBIA certification.
Retired Members must meet the following qualifications:
  • Current DBIA member in good standing;
  • At least 10 years of DBIA membership (not necessarily consecutive);
  • 62 or more years of age; and
  • Substantially retired from all gainful employment *
* Defined as: A member who is fully retired from their profession and does not own or work for a company that provides consulting services.
If you hold a DBIA™ or Assoc. DBIA™ Certification, it is recommended that you apply for DBIA™-Retired or Assoc. DBIA™-Retired status. Please refer to the “Retirement” section on this page.
