Jacob Williams

Jacob WilliamsJacob Williams is the Assistant Director, at the L.A. County Department of Public Works, and is responsible for assisting in the planning, directing, administering, implementing and evaluating department operations and budgets pertaining to a wide array of business functions including building and safety, land development, aviation, sewer maintenance, disaster services, architectural engineering, environmental programs, project management, public affairs, strategic planning, operational services, construction, geotechnical and materials engineering, survey mapping and property management.

He is responsible for initiating and facilitating the transition of Los Angeles County Capital Projects from low-bid delivery to collaborative design-build delivery method. This was undertaken to strategically improve and enhance the timely, on-budget delivery of capital projects and to reduce the substantial risk of delays, cost increases, claims and litigation for the County’s ongoing capital program investment. Mr. Williams supervised the County’s project management of the construction phase of the $1 billion LAC-USC Medical Center capital project through completion and licensing. He is also a California licensed Architect with 25+ year’s professional experience in architecture, project management, planning and administration of capital projects.
