Every year DBIA offers Regions an opportunity to apply for Region awards which highlight those that are performing at an extraordinary level by providing outstanding service to their members. During the 2009 DBIA Annual Conference & Expo, DBIA National presented 6 different region awards. Each category evaluated performance as it relates to activities that are critical to DBIA’s overall success now, and into the future. Areas assessed included membership marketing and membership growth activities, advocacy, and industry education and awareness.

2009 REGION OF THE YEAR
Western Pacific Region (CA, NV, AZ, HI) - The Western Pacific Region has demonstrated exemplary performance in all areas – Membership, Education, Information, Advocacy, and Operations. For years WPR has been a leader in DBIA's Certification and Education efforts, and while they have continued to be one of DBIAs strongest regions, this past year they have shown to be in a class above the rest. The Western Pacific Region has dedicated itself to quality and growth by never forgetting that its success is measured by the success of their members.
