Every year DBIA offers Regions an opportunity to be recognized for performing at an extraordinary level by providing outstanding service to their members. During the 2009 Design-Build Conference and Expo, DBIA National presented six different region awards. Each category evaluated performance as it relates to activities that are critical to DBIA’s overall success now and into the future. Areas assessed included membership marketing and membership growth activities, advocacy, and industry education and awareness.
The 2010 Region Awards were presented at the 2010 Design-Build Conference and Expo. The 2011 awards will be presented at the 2011 Conference, October 19-21, in Orlando, Fla.

2009 REGION OF THE YEAR
Western Pacific Region (CA, NV, AZ, HI) - The Western Pacific Region has demonstrated exemplary performance in all areas – Membership, Education, Information, Advocacy and Operations. For years WPR has been a leader in DBIA's Certification and Education efforts and while they have continued to be one of DBIA's strongest Regions, this past year they have shown themselves to be in a class above the rest. The Western Pacific Region has dedicated itself to quality and growth by never forgetting that its success is measured by the success of their members.
