Transportation Leadership Award - Individual Practitioner
Philip J. Sheridan has more than 20 years of industry experience. Currently he is the Chief Estimator for all Heavy Civil Estimates for Clark Civil/Foundations in Bethesda, Maryland. His experience ranges from rail projects valued at $10 Million to tunnel work valued at over $500 Million. His most recent projects include the Design-Build Merit Award Winning Navy Yard Metro Entrance Improvements project which was an $18 Million renovation and addition to the Navy Yard Station East Entrance and the Intercounty Connector (ICC) Contract C which is a $514 million contract to build 3.8 miles of a new 6 lane limited access high speed variable rate Toll Highway.
Mr. Sheridan has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He is a licensed professional engineer in both the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the State of Maryland. Currently Mr. Sheridan is the President of the DBIA Mid-Atlantic Region which encompasses Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC. He is an active member at both the DBIA Regional and National levels and has participated in the Design-Build in Transportation Conference since its inception in 1999.
