 DBIA Code of Professional Conduct

Since DBIA’s inception in 1993 our members have been dedicated to the highest level of ethical conduct, professionalism and service. With the increased use of design-build project delivery and the increased recognition of DBIA™ certified professionals, the professional conduct of DBIA members has become more important than ever. Those holding the Designated Design-Build Professionals™ (DBIA™) and Designated Associate Design-Build Professionals™ (Assoc. DBIA™) have an even greater responsibility to adhere to the highest principles of ethical conduct in the performance of their professional duties.

As such, DBIA has adopted a Code of Professional Conduct (the “Code”) for all individuals that hold the DBIA™ and Assoc. DBIA™ credentials. The Code will become effective June 1, 2017, at which time all current and new credential holders will be held to the provisions set forth in the Code. As described in our letter to Members, all DBIA members are expected and encouraged to comply with the Code; however, only those holding the DBIA™ and Assoc. DBIA™ will be subject to the enforcement of the Code and possible disciplinary action resulting from violations.
