Senior partner in the Construction Practice Group of Seyfarth Shaw’s Washington, DC, office. Mr. Greenberg specializes in design-build and many other aspects of construction law, and has extensive experience representing all parties to the design-build process. He has advised clients on alternative project delivery systems, prepared and responded to requests for proposals, drafted and negotiated design-build contracts, counseled clients on administering design-build contracts, risk management and dispute avoidance, and has also successfully mediated, litigated, and arbitrated multi-million dollar design and construction disputes. Mr. Greenberg has extensive experience with the design and construction of major league sports facilities, power plants, and other community impact projects that have successfully employed design-build and other alternative project delivery systems.
In addition to his role as a Special Advisor on the DBIA Board, Mr. Greenberg presently serves as the Chairman of DBIA’s Manual of Practice Committee. He was one of the lead drafters of DBIA’s standard contract documents and has authored numerous design-build articles and chapters, as well as DBIA’s Design-Build Teaming Guide. Mr. Greenberg is also a recipient of the DBIA’s Leadership Award. He holds a B.A. degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo and a Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University School of Law.
