Brian A. Walsh, is the founder and President of The Collage Companies, a design build, integrated services firm that is an established leader in the construction industry; headquartered in Central FL and working throughout the Southeast. He has directed the firm’s activities and rapid growth towards quality and excellence since 1982. In 1981, Mr. Walsh became a State of FL Certified General Contractor and hold licenses in Florida and Virginia. He is the recipient of certification for Passive Energy for Building Design. In 2003 he was selected as a charter member of the Design Build Institute of America (DBIA) Designated Professionals and most recently became a LEED Accredited Professional. He has served as an arbitrator and as part of a panel of arbitrators for the American Arbitration Association. Presently he is serving on the DBIA National Board as well as remaining active in many other civic and religious leadership roles.
Mr. Walsh’s design and construction projects have won numerous awards and his team work approach to problem solving has positioned him in a leadership role for all phases of design and construction management for traditional and alternative methods of delivery for a successful project. Mr. Walsh experiences have included client relations, contract preparation and negotiation, pre-construction services, logistical planning, permit expediting, cost and quality control, operations management, dispute resolution and real estate development. His extensive knowledge of fully integrated services and years of successful design build projects make Mr. Walsh an industry expert. His knowledge of design, construction and quality detailing are a tremendous benefit to clients and can provide Owners with savings and the maximum building for their investment.
Since early in his professional career Brian has focused his business life around having a bottom line purpose as well as a bottom line profit. His business is his ministry and he continues to give back to the central Florida community and beyond. He sponsored a Teen Challenge Golf Extravaganza from 1998 thru 2003 and raised almost $500,000 to fund the new Student Life Center and then donated construction management services to construct the project. He has been a corporate sponsor as well as a board member of The Sanford Rescue Mission for many years as well as a member of the advisory board of Christian Help Ministries. He has been married for 26 years to his wife Dianne and they have 2 children. They attend Northland, A Church Distributed and Brian spends some time each year on a mission trip to Central America. He has traveled to Guatemala and Cuba with Missionary Ventures.
Mr. Walsh has been published in several magazines and industry journals and is a requested speaker for industry and community groups and organizations.
