Regional Vice President of Veolia Water North America West, LLC in Seal Beach, California, Craig Watkins has spent his professional career managing the design and construction of water and waste water treatment facilities, industrial and environmental facilities, and aviation fuel systems. A high-energy contractor and engineer, he has headed up design-build projects for Chevron as well as his own companies, Petroleum Contractors and Mobile Equipment Fabricators. After selling his companies to CDM Engineers & Constructors and joining Veolia, he has grown Veolia’s water and waste water Engineering and Construction business through a new regional approach to managing design-build work. His passion is putting together the best solution for an owner’s projects and looking for the best alternative delivery method whenever possible. A total team player, Craig derives his greatest satisfaction in leading his teams through smooth execution to an exceptional finish.
For the last 8 years, he has been an active member of the Western Pacific Chapter of Design Build Institute of America (DBIA) where he has served as Membership Chair, Treasurer, and President. A Designated DBIA Professional, Craig has been Chair of his chapter’s Leadership Committee, where he has found exciting and challenging opportunities to work with other leaders to grow the vision of DBIA and alternative delivery systems.
Craig Watkins earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southern California. Throughout his career of nearly thirty years, Craig Watkins has distinguished himself as a “hands-on” executive who uses an entrepreneurial/high-energy approach to winning and executing work, and to recruiting, developing, and mentoring key management staff.
