Committees are the lifeblood of membership organizations and much of DBIA's work is accomplished as the result of the hard work and contributions by DBIA's Committee Members and Chairs. Their technical expertise, industry knowledge, and leadership abilities have been instrumental in assisting DBIA to achieve its goals.
DBIA's Committee Structure has been streamlined and enhanced to continue improving the flow of information to and from Committees, and includes four levels of participation.
Standing Committees - play a key role in working with DBIA staff to carry out activities in their related area that are approved by the National Board
- Legislative
- Owners Council
- Education
- Public Relations
- Membership Services
Market Issues Committees - critical to educating staff on current and emerging issues that only those in the industry can see and best understand.
- Water/Wastewater
- Transportation
- Healthcare
- Federal Facilties
- Educational Facilities
Task Forces - created when needed for distinct and specific projects. Task Forces disband once the assigned task is accomplished.
Special Interest Sections - informal groups that share ideas, successes, and challenges via online communication exchanges.
- Sustainability
- Technology & BIM
- Commissioning
- Value Engineering
- Lean Construction
More information on the DBIA Committee Structure will soon be available.
