The challenge before DBIA is to determine the most appropriate, effective and timely strategies to address the needs, facilitate the opportunities and minimize the obstacles faced by owners as they seek to understand and utilize the project delivery method most appropriate to their needs.
The Owners Councils were established by DBIA to give owners the opportunity to meet face-to-face with other owners experienced in all methods of project delivery. There are two different owners' councils:
-
Water/Wastewater Owners' Council
-
Transportation Owners' Council
- Chair: Matt McDole, P.E.,
Chief Engineer
E-470 Public Highway Authority
Aurora, CO
Each Owners' council holds a meeting concurrent with its specialty conference. In addition all owners are invited to the owners forum held at DBIA's annual conference. The owners councils are only open to owners of private and/or public construction projects, vertical or horizontal. The councils give owners a chance to network with their peers, share views, answer questions and discuss how DBIA can further support owner needs—without any pressure from those selling products and services.
