Legislation & Advocacy

DBIA Legislation and Advocacy

DBIA advocates for the increase in the use of the design-build project delivery method for public procurement at the local, state and federal level.  While  DBIA also advocates for the increased use of the design-build project delivery method in the private sector, its’ primary focus is on the public sector.  To raise visibility of the design-build project delivery method at the local and state levels, DBIA works with its 16 Regions.

Strategic Policy Initiative Fund

Strategy Policy Initiative Fund logoDBIA's Strategic Policy Initiative Fund seeks to expand the advocacy outreach of the design-build industry, to promote the value of design-build, and to increase public understanding of the design-build project delivery system. The Fund supports advocacy projects that DBIA otherwise would not have the resources to accomplish, suchas the campaign to add qualifications-based selection for design-builders to the Federal Acquisition Regulations, or sponsoring outreach workshops for owners on new state design-build laws.
