About the Project:
The Fort Wainwright 276-person housing project is a 108,000-square-foot, three-story building located in interior Alaska. The facility, located on a restricted site, involved the construction of the new barracks and included the widening and extension of Neely Road, approximately 2,000 feet. The project included the addition of exterior recreation spaces including a volleyball court, basketball court and BBQ pavilion. The project achieved LEED Gold certification, a tough task to accomplish for interior Alaska.
