About the Project:
The Indian Head Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade in Indian Head, Maryland, is a design-build plant designed for 0.5 million gallons per day (MGD) daily flow with a capacity to handle 2.2 MGD in storm situations. The plant was designed to include enhanced nutrient reduction technology required by the Chesapeake Bay Restoration Act and prevents 22,842 pounds of nitrogen, annually, from being discharged into the Chesapeake Bay. This project is LEED Silver certified.
