About the Project:
JCI's lead-acid battery recycling center is a state-of-the-art facility that will recycle approximately 14 million automotive batteries per year. CDM Smith provided fast-track design-build services for the implementation of a stormwater and industrial wastewater treatment plant and associated stormwater collection and impoundment. This integrated system employs modern controls to protect the public and the environment, provide for water reuse, reduce dependence on municipal potable water and groundwater supplies and advance Johnson Control’s recycling mission.
