Description:
The Semester for Conservation Studies at the Smithsonian-Mason School of Conservation immerses students in an active research community.  Students live among, learn from and work side-by-side with both Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute and George Mason University scientists and scholars. W. M. Jordan Company provided design-build services for a residence hall and dining venue on the campus, nestled among rolling foothills in the Shenandoah Valley.  Sustainable features of the project are incorporated into the educational program.
