About the Project:
The VA needed a facility to wash hundreds of vehicles and equipment, while protecting a Chesapeake Bay tributary from untreated wastewater. Through design-build, Royce Construction Services delivered an environmentally friendly facility with minimal maintenance and operations costs. This Net-Zero Water, Equipment Wash Facility at Martinsburg VA Medical Center cleans with rainwater and reuses its filtered wastewater. It has never needed municipal water and any excess water discharged meets strict West Virginia and EPA environmental requirements.
