 Welcome Water/Wastewater Professionals!

It’s an exciting time to be a design-build professional, especially in the water/wastewater sector!  The challenges of drought and other high-profile public water issues (like Flint) have rocked communities, making national headlines.  This, combined with promises of a new era of American infrastructure investment, has put the need for effective and efficient water projects at the heart of a national debate about priorities.
As the only organization that defines, teaches and promotes best practices in design-build project delivery, DBIA is uniquely positioned to help professionals respond to this movement to improve our water and wastewater facilities.  Owners, utilities and practitioners new to design-build can count on DBIA to guide you through the important steps needed to help you learn and then master the design-build delivery method.  From procurement and contracting to execution, DBIA can help you determine when design-build is right for a particular project. Experienced design-build professionals can also take advantage of more advanced education offerings, including best practices and implementation techniques, case studies, and education on design-build variations such as progressive design-build, design-build-operate (DBO) and others.
DBIA is once again excited to partner with the American Water Works Association (AWWA), the Water Environment Federation (WEF) and the Water Design-Build Council (WDBC) to co-host the 2017 Design-Build for Water/Wastewater Conference.  We are confident that this conference will be among the best investment you’ve ever made toward the goal of completing projects at the best value while meeting schedule, cost and quality goals.

Join DBIA this March 29-31 in Minneapolis!

What to expect at the 2017 Design-Build for Water/Wastewater Conference:
  • Increase Your Network: The Design-Build for Water/Wastewater Conference continues to grow each year, bringing in nearly a thousand professionals and exhibitors who offer a wealth of real-world experience and project diversity to our participants.  The design-build industry is growing and events like this provide a unique opportunity for professionals to meet owners and practitioners working on direct-build projects – large and small, private and public.
  • Connect with Clients:  More attendees mean more opportunities for business development. Owner attendance at this conference has increased significantly, with that trend continuing in 2017.
  • Expand your Knowledge: Over the course of the event, attendees are offered over 20 technical sessions and four general sessions that range in experience level and cover topics such as P3s, progressive design-build, innovation and design-build best practices.
  • Earn Continuing Education:  Each conference provides attendees an opportunity to earn over 12 CEUs to put toward your DBIA Certification or renewal. Credential-holders need 24 credit hours to successfully renew every two years. Why not complete half of your requirements at our transportation and water/waste water conferences?
