Robert J. Hartung, DBIA

Bob Hartung is founder and President of Alternative Delivery Solutions LLC (ADS), a firm whose primary purpose since 2004 is assisting public and private owners with their implementation of integrated project delivery models such as design-build.  He has more than 35 years’ construction management experience in the public and private sectors.  Bob is well versed from the perspective of the designer, owner and contractor, including more than 15 years’ design-build experience as a design-build contractor practitioner.  ADS’ clients include local government, special districts/agencies, federal government, education and other public and private owners.

Bob is a recognized design-build professional by the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) and known as an expert and leader in design-build and other alternative project delivery methods.  He is a senior instructor for the DBIA’s professional designation and owner’s series courses.

Mr. Hartung is also an industry representative to the AIA’s ongoing work regarding Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) and was a contributing author to its IPD publications.  He is a frequent speaker at conferences, workshops and university classrooms and has authored several articles on the subject of design-build and IPD.   Bob also serves on the board of directors of the DBIA, Western Pacific Region, where he chairs the Legislative Committee.
