Robynne Thaxton Parkinson is a Seattle based lawyer and the principal of the Law Offices of Robynne Thaxton Parkinson PLLC. Robynne provides owners, design builders, general contractors and designers with practical and proven advice. With over 19 years experience, Robynne is one of the leading experts in construction law and alternative procurement both in Washington State and on a national basis. She is the President of the NW Region of the Design Build Institute of America and the chair of its legislative committee. She also serves on the National DBIA contract documents task force, the DBIA Education Committee, the DBIA National Convention Planning Committee and is one of DBIA's highest rated speakers on the subject of Design Build Contracts and Risk Management. Robynne was an adjunct professor for Seattle University’s Albers School of Business and has been a speaker for many groups such as the Washington State Bar Association, the Associated General Contractors, National Business Institute and Lorman Business Seminars. Robynne also serves as an advisor to New Construction Strategies. Robynne received her Juris Doctor from the University of Colorado School of Law and her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
