What is DBIA's "Certificate of Mastery?"
Put simply, the "Certificate of Mastery" is a way for individuals who may not meet the "experience requirement" of DBIA's Designated Design Build ProfessionalTM program to demonstrate a well-rounded educational mastery of the essential concepts and principles of design-build project delivery. For many, it will be the first step towards achieving full designation once additional experience has been gained in design-build project delivery.
Individuals seeking DBIA's newly created, curriculum-based Certificate of Mastery must undergo a training sequence that includes DBIA's three core courses (see below). To earn the Certificate of Mastery students must then complete a short online assessment/exam based solely on information taught in the course.
STEP ONE:
Complete the following core courses within an 18-month timeframe:
Fundamentals of Project Delivery
Principles of Design-Build Project Delivery
Design-Build Contract and Risk Management
STEP TWO:
Successfully complete an online assessment that demonstrates you have retained and understand the information presented in the course. Upon passing all three course-based assessments, participants will receive a Certificate of Mastery (suitable for framing) recognizing their accomplishment.
If you have completed STEP ONE, you may complete the online assessments below
