  • Time Savings (an average of 12% saving on construction time and 33% savings on overall project completion)
  • Cost Savings (an average of 6% reduction in overall costs)
  • Higher quality & Owner Satisfaction
  • Less litigation

Education

"We Teach How" is not just a slogan. DBIA is committed to achieving, not just talking about, integrated project delivery. As a matter of fact, design-build is the "original" integrated project delivery approach. DBIA nationwide educational programs are developed to teach practical "how to" courses about design-build and to advance the education, public awareness, understanding and utility of design-build. Courses and programs developed and delivered by DBIA utilize interactive learning strategies to teach topics ranging from an introduction of design-build techniques to advanced application of design-build concepts. All are designed to impart practical learning which can be utilized in the office and on the job.

Many cutting-edge business techniques have grown out of DBIA’s education programs and member best practices. Among them are the use of preambles, performance statements of work, two-phase source selection and qualifications-and best-value competition.
