Industry Partner Owner Nomination Program

In an effort to expand the pool of educated owners, DBIA offers each industry partner member contact, benefit recipient or additional contact the opportunity to nominate one public or private owner for individual level membership. See details of the program here.

Design-Build Manual of Practice:

This extensive examination and explanation of both the basics and refinements of design-build practice is available to members as a benefit of joining. Members can log in and download the chapters in PDF format at their convenience.

Conferences:

Meet industry leaders, attend education courses, view award-winning design-build projects, hear design-build case studies and testimonies, network with owners and visit our expo hall at each of DBIA’s three conferences run annually.

DBIA conferences and events are attended by multi-disciplinary practitioners. DBIA also enjoys the highest percentage of owners/users (regularly 15-25%) at its meetings and courses. A regular feature of DBIA conferences are special "Owners Forums" conducted as owner-only meeting where attendees have the opportunity to meet and address design-build initiatives, challenges and opportunities. This unique forum provides the only opportunity of its kind in the design-build world.

Education and Professional Development

As a member, take part in DBIA’s nationwide education tour. DBIA is committed to achieving, not just talking about, integrated project delivery. Therefore, DBIA nationwide educational programs are developed to teach practical "how to" concepts about design-build and to advance the education, public awareness, understanding and utility of design-build. Courses and programs developed and delivered by DBIA utilize interactive learning strategies to teach topics ranging from an introduction of design-build techniques to advanced application of design-build concepts. All are designed to impart practical learning which can be utilized in the office and on the job.

All employees may take advantage of membership pricing and save $300 on each course for which you register.

DBIA Professional Certification:

Earn your professional DBIA Certification and gain recognition in the industry. DBIA Certification is a reflection of personal achievement because the certified individual has displayed excellence by meeting standards and requirements established by the industry. IQ: Integration Quarterly and Publications:

Regional DBIA Offices:

DBIA maintains a network of 14 regional offices that advance design-build and promote networking locally.  Student Chapters are also expanding and increasing in number at leading colleges and universities.  When you join you automatically become a member of your local chapter and will be informed of all local events.

DBIA members actively participate annually in a wide range of committee activities such as: planning conferences, developing publications and commenting on legislation.
