Scotland, UK — Earth Tech, Inc., has been awarded a $17.4 million (U.S. currency) contract to design and build a solid wastewater treatment plant for the Western Isles Council off the northwest coast of Scotland in the United Kingdom.
Clayco Wins Solo Cup Contract
Social Circle, GA — The Clayco Company has been awarded a contract to design and build a 1.3 million s.f., state-of-the-art distribution center for the Solo Cup Company, the world’s largest producer and distributor of disposable foodservice products. Clayco will use the tilt-up construction method to deliver the design-build project.
Corps of Engineers Awards Contract to Clark
El Paso, TX — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Fort Worth District) has awarded a $161 million contract to Clark Construction to design and construct 505 buildings on the Fort Bliss military installation. The project will house 392 barracks and 65 administration buildings and is scheduled to be completed in only eight months.
USPS Taps Korte
Portland , ME — The Korte Company has been selected to be the design-build contractor for the new Southern Maine Processing and Distribution Center, a 429,000 s.f. United States postal facility.
VF Outdoor Selects Haskell
Visalia, CA — VF Outdoor, Inc., with the approval of Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, has selected Haskell to design and build an 800,000 s.f., state-of-the-art distribution center for their organization in the central valley of California.

Clayco Breaks Ground for CityPlace Project
St. Louis, MO. — The Clayco Company has commenced design-build construction of two additional facilities for the Koman Group’s CityPlace complex: an 88,400 s.f. medical building and a 10-story, 237,000 s.f. high-rise structure.
O’Shea Constructing Church Facility
Springfield, IL — Harold O’Shea is providing design-build services in constructing a 5,200 s.f. addition to the Koke Mill Christian Church.
Speed Fab-Crete Building New IAMAW Union Hall
White Settlement, TX — Speed Fab-Crete design-build general contractors are constructing a union hall for the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (AFL-CIO). The 19,000 s.f., two-building facility will house18 offices, conference rooms, and will be connected by an enclosed pedestrian bridge.

The Villages, FL — Haskell has completed the design and construction of a $1.1 million, 6,303 s.f. library for The Villages retirement community. The library facility, which will house over 45,000 publications, will serve the entire population of Sumter County, FL, in addition to the residents of the Villages retirement community.
