Brechbill & Helman Wins Treatment Facility Project
Sykesville, MD — Brechbill & Helman Construction Company, Inc., has been awarded a contract to design and build the Carroll Country Drug Treatment Facility in Sykesville, MD. The 15,000 s.f. project will feature lodging, exercise, and laundry facilities, as well as administrative offices for personnel of the treatment center.
Earth Tech to Construct Two Water Systems
Northern Ireland, Mangawhai, New Zealand — Earth Tech, Inc., an international provider of design, build, and operate services, has been selected as part of a consortium (a public-private partnership) to upgrade water services in Northern Ireland. The conglomerate has entered into a 25-year contract to design and construct upgrades and oversee the operation of four major water plants in this region of the country. In addition, Earth Tech has been awarded a $20 million contract to design, build, and operate the Eco Care wastewater facility in Mangawhai, New Zealand. This will be the first DBO project for the organization in this country.
USPS Selects Forrester
Rockville, MD — Forrester Construction has been contracted by the United States Postal Service Eastern Facilities Service Office to serve as a pre-qualified contractor and design-builder in constructing and renovating postal facilities in the Mid-Atlantic region of the U.S.

Clayco Constructing Loft Development and Warehouse
St. Louis, MO — Clayco is serving as the design-builder for the Ely Walker lofts, a 173-unit loft facility in St. Louis, MO. The $35 million project will house 50,000 s.f. of retail space, a five-story atrium, and lower-level restaurant. In addition, Clayco is also providing design-build services for the construction of the Park 370 Tech Center, a 75,000 s.f. office/warehouse facility in Hazelwood, MO. The $2.3 million project will provide multiple tenant space and will be constructed using tilt-up concrete over structural steel.
Clark Starts Construction on Cal Poly
San Luis Obispo, CA — Clark Design/Build of California, Inc., has commenced construction of the Student Housing North Project on the Cal Poly San Luis campus of California State University. The $239 million design-build project will feature nine residence buildings with 2,677 beds and two parking structures with over 1,900 spaces on 30 acres north of Brizzolara Creek.
Pro Con Designing and Constructing Hilton Facility
Portsmouth, NH — Pro Con, Inc., is providing design and construction management services for Homewood Suites, a four-story, 108-room Hilton hotel facility. The $8.9 million design-build project will feature such amenities as bedroom suites with fully equipped kitchens, guest laundry facilities, an indoor pool, and exercise rooms.

Korte Nearing Completion of High–Tech Institute
Las Vegas, NV — The Korte Company will soon complete the design and construction of a 5,870 s.f. educational facility for High-Tech Institute. The new facility, which will annex an existing structure, will house two computer labs and three lecture rooms.
Clayco Finishes Medical Facility
Naperville, IL — Clayco has completed construction of the 40,000 s.f. RollingRidge Center, a suburban medical office building in Naperville, IL. The company used a non-conventional approach of combining structural precast panels with brick to construct the building. The fast-track, three-level project was completed in just six months.
