Austin AECOM Promotes Two

Chicago, IL — E. Steven Helms, P.E., has moved into the firm’s top management position as president. He has been serving as executive vice president and chief operating officer. Tom Serruto has been promoted to technical leader/director of laboratory design.

Wight Welcomes Nagle

Chicago, IL — Jim Nagle has joined Wight & Company as a project director for the construction department.

Skanska Promotes Three

Atlanta, GA — Skanska USA Building Inc. has promoted Mark Allnutt to account manager and senior vice president and Brian Murray and Tim York to vice president and operations leader.

PB Adds Raubacher

Atlanta, GA — Charlie Raubacher has been named market leader, institutional markets, at PB. He will be responsible for growing the firm’s business in the educational, health care, public buildings, and other institutional markets.

New Faces at CDM

CDM is pleased to announce that Shirin Mandegari has joined the firm’s Irvine, CA, office, responsible for senior project management of CDM’s private sector contracts. In addition, Laura L. Perisse will be a client service manager in the Wayne, PA, office, leading CDM’s services to industrial clients in the Mid-Atlantic region.

CH2M HILL Adds Zhang, Promotes Fajer

Denver, CO — Dr. Harry Zhang has joined CH2M HILL as the principal technologist and leader of industrial water resource services for the energy, chemical, and industrial systems business group. Eric Fajer has been promoted to strategic staffing manager for the global water business group.

Changes at Clayco

St. Louis, MO — Clayco has promoted Ron Rolfes to operations executive; Gregg Ernst and Jared Hegeman to project directors; and added Victoria May in its accounts payable department.

Houston, TX — Adrian Ramos has joined the construction management team at Teal Construction Company as a project manager.

Shelton Named to CSA Leadership

Norwalk, CT — Michael W. Shelton of Emcor Group, Inc., has been named chairman of the executive committee of the Contract Services Association, an industry advocacy organization for government services providers.

Two Achieve Certifications

Fort Worth, TX — Ron Hamm and Mitch Hanzik, business development executives, Speed Fab-Crete General Contractors, have earned their Designated Design-Build Professional™ from DBIA and Green Advantage Certified Builder status from the U.S. Green Building Council.

EMCOR Honored

Norwalk and Vernon, CT — In its annual ranking, Fortune magazine named EMCOR Group, Inc., one of the most admired companies in the engineering and construction industry. The International Association of Outsourcing Professionals named EMCOR to its Global Outsourcing 100 list for the second year, recognizing the firm’s reputation and achievement in service delivery. In addition, EMCOR Services New England Mechanical Services, Inc., received three awards from the Associated Builders and Contractors — the Merit Cup Award from the Connecticut chapter and the Accredited Quality Contractor Award and the Platinum Level STEP Award for ABC’s Safety Training and Evaluation Process.

McMahon Receives Two Awards

Fort Washington, PA — McMahon Associates, Inc., was honored with the Professional Development Award by the Pennsylvania Professional Engineers in Private Practice for the company’s contributions to the advancement and improvement of the engineering profession through its employment policies and practices. The company was also honored with the Community Award given by the Partnership Transportation Management Association for their work on the Forty Foot Road project in Towamencin Township, Montgomery County, PA.

Barton Malow Presented with Safety Award

Southfield, MI — The Associated General Contractors has honored Barton Malow with the 2006 National AGC Safety Award.

Crist Receives Achievement Award

St. Louis, MO — Black & Veatch is proud to announce that Bob Crist, associate vice president of its global water business, has been awarded the Asian Civil Engineering Coordinating Council’s Award for Achievement for his contributions to the progress of international civil engineering.

AISC Student Awards

Chicago, IL — The American Institute of Steel Construction, Inc. (AISC), sponsored its 16th annual National Student Steel Bridge Competition at California State University – Northridge in May. Nearly 500 students in 43 teams competed to design and construct a scale model bridge, which was judged in six categories of performance. North Dakota State University won for the fifth time; University of California — Davis came in second; and University of Wisconsin — Madison placed third overall.
