Skanska USA Building Inc., has promoted David Reece to senior vice president and account manager for Michigan in the Southfield office and Brian Freeman manager of the central Texas operations based in San Antonio.

McMahon Associates, Inc., has added Christopher G. Seaman, P.E., as senior project engineer in the design department at its Exton, PA, office. In Florida, Richard DiCesare, P.E., PTOE, has been promoted to general manager of the Fort Lauderdale office, R. Nash Receives Dunn Award

Orlando, FL — On August 2, the Construction Industry Institute awarded David Nash of BE&K Government Group, Inc., the Carroll H. Dunn Award of Excellence, its highest award to the person who has had singular and notable responsibility for significant advancements in improving the cost effectiveness of the construction industry.

CEC Ontario Awards

The Consulting Engineers of Ontario have honored two DBIA members: Black & Veatch earned the Willis Chipman Award for its role in the upgrade and expansion of the Lakeview Wastewater Treatment Plant for the Region of Poel. Earth Tech Inc. earned an Award of Merit for the automated people mover at Toronto Pearson International Airport, Canada’s busiest.

Wilson Receives Bechtel Award

Redding, CA — Howard O. Wilson of CH2M HILL has been recognized with the Stephen D. Bechtel Pipeline Engineering Award presented by the American Society of Civil Engineers.

CH2M HILL Project Honored

Reno, NV — The Nevada Water Resources Association named CH2M HILL’s Washoe County Department of Water Resources’ Longley Lane Water Treatment Facility Project as its 2007 Major Project of the Year. The facility, for which the firm provided planning, design, construction management, programming, and startup services, was honored for its innovative use of technology in treating water from a variety of sources with different treatment issues.

Chapter Honors HSMM

Washington, DC — HSMM and Coakley & Williams Construction, Inc., were recognized by DBIA’s National Capital Chapter with the 2007 award for Best Public Sector Building Project over $15 million for their Calvert Street Parking Garage in Annapolis, MD.

County Business of the Year

Waynesville, NC — The Haywood County Chamber of Commerce has chosen Clark & Leatherwood, Inc., as the county’s 2007 Business of the Year.
