Clayco Adds Zehnder

ST. LOUIS — Bryan Zehnder has joined Clayco Inc. as a project engineer. In this position, he will oversee design coordination, preconstruction and post-construction services and construction management.

Sandino Honored

DENVER — CH2M HILL vice president Dr. Julian Sandino received the Richard S. Engelbrecht International Activities Service Award from the Water Environment Foundation (WEF) and the International Water Association (IWA) for his contributions to and expertise in international water issues. Sandino has been an active WEF member for a number of years, as well as a member of the Inter-American Association of Sanitary and Environmental Engineering and the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers.

Clayco Honored

ST. LOUIS — Clayco Inc., in a joint venture with Paric Corp. for the new Express Scripts Inc. headquarters, won two awards. The Association of General Contractors’ St. Louis chapter awarded them a Keystone Award on Oct. 29 and the Mid-America Design-Build Institute of America honored them with a Merit Award on Oct. 11.

International Award for WALTER P MOORE

HOUSTON — On Nov. 14 the Institution of Structural Engineers named WALTER P MOORE as a Commendation Award Winner for Sports Structures in the Structural Awards 2007 Ceremony for its role in the design of the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Ariz.

CH2M HILL VP Named IDA President

DENVER — Lisa Henthorne, a vice president at CH2M HILL and global director of desalination, was named president of the International Desalination Association (IDA). Henthorne has been active on the IDA Board of Directors and served as co-chair for the 2007 World Congress. She holds three U.S. patents in water treatment technology.

CDM Earns Patent

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — CDM recently received a patent for a new in situ bioremediation technology known as gaseous electron donor injection technology. The process involves the injection of specialized gases into soil or groundwater to stimulate biological degradation of pollutants.
