Projects to Watch

New Contracts

London Calling

LONDON — Thames Water has appointed CH2M HILL as program manager for the Thames Tideway Tunnel scheme to help deliver the “super-sewer” that will prevent overflows from London’s sewers entering the Thames River. The project will involve the construction of London’s deepest tunnel ever — up to 80 meters below ground level — and spanning 32 kilometers beneath the river.

Elmhurst Gets Green Nod

DARIEN, Ill. — The DuPage Community Foundation recently awarded Elmhurst College a grant to support various “green” initiatives. These initiatives are part of an ongoing $23 million campus redevelopment project implemented by Wight & Company.

VA Gets Traffic Facelift

NORTH CHICAGO, Ill. — Joseph J. Henderson & Son Inc. is design-building a new $16 million parking and infrastructure project — including a staff parking area, four-story parking garage for patients, a new entryway and traffic light and utility work — to accommodate expansion at the North Chicago VA Medical Center. Completion is expected in June 2008.

Planned Expansion

PITTSBURGH — When Eaton Corp. hired Clayco to design-build its Electrical Group headquarters in the late 1990s, the facility was designed with an eye to future expansion. The future is now, and Clayco is working on design-build plans with Eaton to expand the building.

Completed Projects

Banking on Clayco
