Cover Story: Grand Slam New Members Only
By Christopher Prawdzik
The mainstream media often misses it. Not that they consciously ignore certain facts about construction projects, but the delivery method is often hard to come by in a typical report, whether design-build, design-bid-build or something else.

Bronx on Track New Members Only
By Christopher Prawdzik
Things move rather quickly in the city: the people, the cars, the trains and most building projects. Residents of the Bronx know this well. A prime example happened nearly 90 years ago.

Education Extra - It’s Academic New Members Only
By Dave Balz
Jacksonville University (JU) is perched on a rolling bluff, nestled on the banks of the St. Johns River in Jacksonville, Fla. Board Reflections New Members Only
By William K. Flemming
In many ways, sports projects are perfect design-build candidates. They integrate the entire project team — owner, designer, contractor, specialty contractors and vendors — and bring them together quickly to create one point of contact and accountability.

DBIA Book Club
By Patricia Carpio
As DATELINE explores sports, recreational and educational facilities this month, nothing is a more fitting book selection than Building Type Basics series. Founder and editor Stephen A. Klimlent describes the series as a “concise, practical guide for today’s design professional.”
