Getting Around
Transportation options are numerous and varied, from renting a vintage Cadillac El Dorado or new Corvette to hopping on a city bus, taking a cab or riding the Las Vegas Monorail, one of the most modern transportation systems in the world.
Airport Shuttle
If flying into Las Vegas McCarran International Airport (www.mccarran.com) the most economical way to get to your hotel is via airport shuttle. Shuttle service to the Las Vegas Strip or downtown is less than $10. Shuttle buses run 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Check with your hotel to arrange a return trip to the airport.
Taxis
Fares start at $3.30 on the meter and $2.20 is added every additional mile. Most taxi cabs are “cash only.”
Las Vegas Monorail
The Las Vegas Monorail travels along the east side of The Strip behind the resorts. It runs from 7 a.m. to 2 a.m. Monday through Thursday and until 3 a.m. Friday through Sunday from the Sahara Hotel to the MGM Grand. Stops include the Las Vegas Hilton, Las Vegas Convention Center, Harrah’s/Imperial Palace, the Flamingo/Caesar’s Palace and Bally’s/Paris. Visit www.lvmonorail.com for single ride, multi-day and group ticket prices.
Owners Central
Owners Central, located in the exhibit hall, will give conference attendees the opportunity to interact with owners, discuss the design-build process and in-depth topics such as the request for proposal process. Also get first-hand information on award winning projects recognized at the conference.
