DBIA Announces Media Partnership with Naylor, LLC

DBIA is pleased to announce that we have extended our media partnership with Naylor, LLC, to now publish both our annual Membership Directory and our official journal, Design-Build DATELINE. While the content and direction of these media remains under DBIA’s control, we are looking to Naylor’s nearly 40 years of trade association experience to promote and further brand DBIA as the center of expertise in design-build. For advertisers, the integration of these products offers the opportunity to coordinate messaging for maximum exposure to a targeted, attentive audience.

We’re also excited to announce that in addition to print, both our annual Membership Directory and, beginning with the May 2009 issue, our Design-Build DATELINE journal will also be available in fully interactive digital versions, generating “double distribution” and unlimited online exposure. DBIA members will receive both publications in traditional print format as well as via e-mail. In addition, each new issue will be posted on www.dbia.org, ensuring longevity for online presence, and will be available to non-members and DBIA Web site visitors throughout the year. Ads will encourage traffic to advertiser Web sites through eLinks, and premium online advertising opportunities are available.

“We invite your participation in our new, integrated media program,” says Lisa Washington, chief operating officer for DBIA. “Our members rely on DBIA’s official publications as their primary communication tools to stay in touch with the latest industry trends, updates and membership information, as well as to search for the most qualified product and service providers.”

Education Tour is Your Ticket

With DBIA at the forefront of design-build education, the 2009 Design-Build Education Tour continues to take organizations to greater heights, with the top names in education and a whole host of new benefits.

In addition to individual project delivery courses and education sessions, DBIA is offering a new, four-day intensive Designation Workshop Series.

These include DBIA’s three core courses required for certification, the exam prep course and exam administration. Priced even lower than DBIA’s University-Based Bootcamps, it is the fast track to certification.

If looking for a DBIA workshop on steroids, University-Based Bootcamps are still a good choice.

Held at CalPoly, Penn State and George Mason University, these also include the three core courses as well as guest lecturers, networking events and a whole host of social activities in a university setting.

Classes fill up quickly, so it is crucial to register immediately. Register for the 2009 Design-Build Education Tour and get more information at www.dbia.org/development or contact Mihisha Henderson, director of Education Logistics, at mhenderson@dbia.org to begin a journey to design-build certification.
