 Silent Auction

Silent Auction to Support Design-Build Education
Wednesday, November 8 - Friday, November 10
Open during Exhibit Hall Hours

Dreaming about your next vacation in paradise? Looking to add to your sports memorabilia collection? Or looking for that special art piece to add to your home décor? DBIA is hosting a Silent Auction at this year’s conferences with over 100 items and packages. All proceeds from the auction will benefit the 2018 Educator Workshop Scholarship Fund, which supports the expansion of design-build education and curriculum in universities across the United States.

What Is The Educator Workshop?
DBIA’s Educator Workshop, co-hosted with the Charles Pankow Foundation (CPF), teaches university faculty the key elements and value of design-build, including how to incorporate design-build best practices into a new or existing curriculum. Over the past three years, over 30 universities have been represented in the workshop, with the majority of the participants new to DBIA.

“My colleague and I attended the Educator Workshop to prepare ourselves to teach a course so our students can get certified by DBIA. It was an invigorating, intensive experience where we learned more about method and shared techniques to teach the material better. The rest of our faculty will be attending subsequent programs to better incorporate design-build into our curriculum and ensure every student has the opportunity to become certified.”

Theodore (Ted) J. Weidner, Ph.D., P.E., AIA,
Purdue University & 2016 Educator Workshop Participant
