DBIA's Contract Documents and Forms
DBIA’s Standard Forms for RFQ/RFP Now Available
One of the most important ways owners manage the risk of achieving success in a project is selecting a design-builder who is best suited to perform the work. To determine the best design-build fit, owners must design a procurement process that is focused on finding the right team for each project. DBIA's new standard form of RFQ/RFP and the accompanying Guide will assist owners with understanding the issues owners should consider and decisions owners need to make to create a procurement process that is most likely to lead to a successful project. The new DBIA Standard Form of Request for Qualifications and Request for Proposals and RFQ/RFP Guide are now available in our online bookstore
Robynne Parkinson, who drafted the form RFQ, RFP and the accompanying RFQ/RFP Guide, recently held a webinar through DBIA where she walks through the documents and highlights key sections. She also discusses the philosophy behind the documents and provides helpful tips in both developing a procurement and responding to procurements that use these documents.
is an excellent companion to the RFQ/RFP and Guide and you can take it here
New Progressive Design-Build Agreement Released
DBIA and the Water Design-Build Council released their new PDB Agreement to the public today. The agreement is designed for owners and design-build practitioners interested in pursuing the collaboration, innovation and efficient project delivery that comes with progressive design-build. The new Progressive Design-Build Agreement
can be found in DBIA’s online bookstore.
If you'd like to review the language before purchasing the document, you can download a sample version here
DBIA contract documents
are known as a fair basis for successful projects. In 2010, DBIA’s team of legal experts performed a complete revision that encompasses electronic data handling, insurance and bonding, schedule changes and many other issues.
All documents are downloadable in Microsoft Office format and can be edited to suit specific projects and needs.
Your purchase provides you a license to use the document that is effective for one year from the date of purchase. The license can easily be renewed in the bookstore.
DBIA members receive a 50% discount on contract documents. Simply sign in
on this site to obtain the coupon code in the Resources section. Then go to the online bookstore to set up an account and make your purchase.
