DBIA Legislation and Advocacy
DBIA advocates for the increased use of the design-build project delivery method for public procurement at the local, state and federal level. While DBIA also advocates for the increased use of the design-build in the private sector, we recognize the importance and influence of the public sector. To raise the visibility of the design-build project delivery method at the state and local levels, DBIA works with its 16 Regions.
Strategic Policy Initiative Fund
DBIA's Strategic Policy Initiative Fund seeks to expand the advocacy outreach of the design-build industry, to promote the value of design-build and to increase public understanding of the design-build project delivery method. The Fund supports advocacy projects that DBIA would not otherwise have the resources to accomplish, such as the campaign to add qualifications-based selection for design-builders to the Federal Acquisition Regulations or sponsoring outreach workshops for owners on new state design-build laws.
