🏆 600 San Pedro | Los Angeles, CA
The 17-story @pankowbuilders, @kpff_la and @dciengineers project delivered 298 units of permanent supportive housing in Skid Row while adapting to significant site constraints and mid-construction redesigns without exceeding its original budget.
🏆 The Apiary Hotel & Residences | Denver, CO
The 615,000-sq.-ft. @beckgroup, @jirsahedrick and @martinmartininc development combines luxury residences and a 175-key hotel on a constrained 0.8-acre site, with design, fabrication and construction continuously informing one another.

After more than 22 years with DBIA, Lisa Washington, CAE, has announced plans to retire in 2027. 💙
For more than two decades, including 17 years as Executive Director/CEO, Lisa has helped shape DBIA into the organization it is today. Her leadership has touched countless people, strengthened the design-build community and guided DBIA through extraordinary growth and change.
Lisa will continue to lead DBIA as the National Board searches for her successor, with a transition anticipated by mid-2027. But before we get there, we want to celebrate the people, stories and memories that have made these 22 years so special. Have a favorite Lisa story, photo or memory? University of Cincinnati, Chemistry Building Renovation and Expansion | Cincinnati, OH
The project paired renovation of UC’s historic 1917 Chemistry Building with a major new addition, ultimately finishing ahead of schedule and earning LEED Gold.
University of Washington Interdisciplinary Engineering Building | Seattle, WA
The team made collaboration measurable, using tools such as “confirming” RFIs and a live constraint log to resolve decisions before they became field problems.
